This memoir includes much on the genealogical background of the LeSourd and Ball families, the author's early years living on Whidbey Island, attending Lincoln and Roosevelt High Schools in Seattle in the 1920's, spending time in the Tlingit Indian village of Klawock, Alaska, working as a lawyer during the Great Depression, notably as attorney for the WPA (Works Project Administration), his married and family lives (he married twice), his business and law interests in the Pacific Northwest, etc. A good first hand account of life in Washington state.
