7.75" x 4.75". Single sheet, folded once. Fine condition. Printed in blue, black and gold. With an illustration of a palm tree, the sphinx and pyramids on the front panel. With text in English, French and in Arabic. The New Year's Eve dinner menu is rather simple, featuring foie gras, ox-tail soup, sole, turkey, fried potato balls, artichokes, salad and fruit. The Mena House was initially a hunting lodge; it was a two-story structure nicknamed the "Mud Hut". It was built in 1869 for the Egyptian Khedive Isma'il Pasha. It opened as a hotel in 1886. In 1890 the hotel opened Egypt’s first swimming pool. Over the decades the hotel entertained numerous VIPs and celebrities. The hotel was renamed Marriott Mena House in 2018. It will join Marriott's luxury division and wil be renamed JW Marriott Cairo Mena House following a major renovation.
