Internally the book is near fine, with just a touch of wear to the bottom edges of a few leaves. This copy inscribed by the author on the title page "A gift from the writer to Mr. P. J. B. - He was a friend of Mr. P. J. Bezeau on Queen Charlotte island." The author was Secretary of the Young Men's Christian Association at the Moresby Island Administration Camp of the Imperial Munitions Board, Department of Aeronautical Supplies, Thurston Harbour, Queen Charlotte Islands. This scarce book may be the first book of poetry to emerge from the Queen Charlotte Islands area.
